Timelines
- Application Preparation: Gather necessary documentation to support the Spouse Visa application, check all financial information. (1-2 weeks).
- Application Submission: Submit the Spouse Visa application online.
- Processing Time: The Home Office typically processes applications within 8 to 12 weeks.
- Initial Visa Duration: If approved, the visa is granted for 2.5 years.
- Extension and ILR: After 2.5 years, applicants can apply for an extension, and after five years on the visa, they may apply for ILR.
